The Be Who You Are swimbinder is specially designed to give you light flattening and freedom of movement in the water. Thanks to its non-absorbent polyester lining, it's perfectly suited to swimming and dries quickly once out of the water.
Its front zipper makes it easy to put on and take off, even when wet.

Unlike a conventional binder , this model uses a polyester lining that doesn't absorb water, dries quickly or retain moisture. It features a front zipper for easy donning, even when the fabric is wet.

👉 Tip: We recommend sizing up one size above your usual size, to facilitate donning and ensure optimum comfort when swimming.

Safety and freedom in an aquatic environment

The swim binder is designed to let you feel like yourself in the water, without having to choose between comfort, gender expression or mobility. It offers light support, avoids excessive compression (dangerous in the water), and looks just like a classic swim top.

  • Exterior: 80% nylon / 20% spandex - stretchable, breathable and abrasion-resistant
  • Inner lining: 100% polyester - a technical material that doesn't absorb water and dries quickly
  • Zipper: front zip

How to put on your Binder de Bain?

There are two possible methods, depending on your preference:

Method 1 - Like a vest:

  1. Put on your binder like an open vest.
  2. Grab both ends of the zip and stretch them outwards.
  3. Curl forward slightly and insert the slider into the zip.
  4. Pinch it between two fingers, then close the zipper all the way to the top.
    👉 During the first fitting, the help of a second person can be useful.

Method 2 - Classic threading :

  1. Zip the binder all the way to the top before putting it on.
  2. Put it on like a normal t-shirt.
    ⚠️ Never zip it halfway, as this could damage the closure or the fabric.

Bath Binder care

To prolong its life, especially after regular contact with chlorine or salt water:

  • Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap
  • Or machine wash, delicate cycle at 30°, in a a washing net
  • Air dry, preferably flat - do not tumble dry.
  • ⚠️ Do not iron, spin or expose to direct sunlight.

Frequently asked questions about Binder de Bain

Can I swim with a classic binder ?

Yes, but classic binders aren 't waterproof: the cotton lining absorbs water, so they take longer to dry and become difficult to remove. Nevertheless, if you want to use your classic binder , test it by putting it on in the shower.

Does it dry quickly?

Yes, thanks to its polyester lining, the binder dries much faster than a conventional cotton-lined model.

Which size to choose?

Is it as compressive as a conventional binder ?

MEASURE1:
Place the ribbon on your torso, it should be straight across your back, pass under your armpits and cover your nipples.
Inhale normally, without taking a deep breath, and note the measurement observed.

MEASURE 2:
Place the ribbon under your torso at the crease of your chest, it should be straight across your back, inhale normally without taking a deep breath and note the measurement observed.
Add measurement 1 + measurement 2 and average the two.

EXAMPLE:
Measure 1 = 88cm, measure 2 = 79cm
(88 + 79) / 2 = 83.5 My size will therefore be M

If you're between 2 sizes = take the larger of the 2.

If you can put it on relatively easily, choose the same size.
If you have difficulty putting it on, or if it's rather tight, choose a size up.
If you want a little more comfort for swimming, choose a larger size.

You're buying a binder for the first time:

Refer to the section above to take your measurements. Use the chart to determine your size.
If your measurement is within the first 4 cm of the range indicated, choose the corresponding size.
Ex: measure found 83cm, so I take size M

If your measurement is beyond the first 4 cm of the range indicated, choose the next size up.
Ex: measurement found 85cm, so I take size L

If you're between sizes for the zip or swim binder, choose the larger size.

If you want a little more comfort when you go swimming, choose a larger size.
